Turkish Towels

Have you ever tried a Turkish towel?

I love the way they look.

Used in Turkish baths for centuries, "Peshtemal" is a traditional Turkish towel made from organic cotton that softens with age. According to all the sources I have read, they are highly absorbent and dry much faster than a normal bath towel. I am crazy for stripes, especially as Spring arrives, and love the hand-knotted, tassel fringe.

They come in a wide variety of striped patterns and colors. From gorgeous soft grays and neutrals to a rainbow of summer colors. It would be hard to choose just one. I love them all.

These are from an interesting company that travel the globe in search of traditional handmade products -

I didn't mention, that a Turkish towel makes a great beach towel and cover-up!
